escape to nantucket...

Last weekend I spent 30 hours on Nantucket
with Alexis, Dana & Annie...

Saturday was a perfect beach day, despite forecasts for rain...

My lovely friend Kate and her adorable yellow lab Darwin
stopped to visit us on the beach...

We stayed on the sand until sunset...

Then we cleaned up and went to a delicious dinner at the Galley...

The next morning was foggy so we went for a drive to Sconset
to check out the beach erosion...

And take goofy pictures...

And visit the Sankaty Head Light House
that was moved in 2007 due to the erosion...

And finally we stopped in at Isabel Harvey Nantucket...

Before we hopped on the ferry back to real life...

Sounds like the perfect get-away, right?
It was.
The End.

oh my... july!

(Here is the fruit of my best effort to keep this blog up to date!)

FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVITIES!!!

Max & I (Brook stayed home with a sleeping Jane)
had the pleasure of going to Needham's Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza with Eli, Chad & Felino... It was a beautiful night and the fireworks were incredible.

Surprise! We bumped into the love of Max's life -
HANNAH!

AND! Max tried cotton candy for the very first time!

What could be better?!

It was a great great night,
but not enough photos were taken (so sorry...).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, on Monday, the Fifth of July, we went to a fabulous parade party at the Gransky's house. They live on the town of Natick's parade route - and wow, they really throw a great party!
After the parade, we moved the party to the backyard...
...where a bouncy-house was waiting
and a kiddie pool
(look at all the kids so dutifully lined up to use the "slide" - so cute!)
and we all stayed for the most relaxing cookout lunch ever.
THE END.
We managed to fit a LOT more fun into the second part of June, too.
Notable events included a trip to Papa's office (in a skyscraper!) for his surprise birthday party, an overnight trip to the Berkshires with KK, and our first BBQ at our new house!
