summer part II: july recap...

July was great!  July was fun!

We kicked the month off with a 4th of July 

Bachman Family Reunion hosted by...

Papa Bill!

It was a fun-filled few days of pool time, sight seeing and catching up with lots of family (most not pictured here ... sorry!), and it culminated with a fantastic night out at Fenway Park (also not pictured ... sorry!)!

Otherwise we just soaked up the beautiful summer weather 

and introduced Kate to the pool in earnest...

 

And we had our usual fun with these guys around the house/neighborhood/town...

summer part I: nantucket!

Summer is our favorite season...

This year we spent a week on Nantucket 

with the Schaffers and it was fantastic!

The weather was beautiful, the kids were angels 

and we all had a wonderful time!

Part of our beach transportation system 

since we brought one car for all ten of us...

 The dads heading to Cisco Beach with big kids in tow...

Max impressing us all with his amazing water skills in the big surf...

 And he loved it so much that he and Brook 

spent most of the week doing just this!

  

 Among other things, we celebrated Hanna's birthday together...

 And the adults even got to go out to dinner once or twice!

 But the best part was the beach time...

 And just hanging with our friends...
