april part III: the in-between time!

April was our busiest month on record...
In addition to two big exciting vacations (Arizona! and Disney!),
we kept the pace frenetic at home, too!

First, we celebrated Patriot's Day in style ---
Fenway Park Sky Box-style!
(Thanks of course to Papa!)

Next, the Easter Bunny himself happened to stop by
at our house unexpectedly - and not even on Easter!

And then, there was our actual Easter celebration,
complete with an egg hunt...

(Nice baskets, kids!)

... and a feast!

All that and we were only home for six days in April!

Thanks for stopping by!

april part II: disney!

In April, someone very near and dear to our hearts
had a very special birthday...
and we were honored and so fortunate to celebrate with her...
in an incredibly magical setting...

Walt Disney World!

Jane & the Birthday Queen on the Steam Train

Max fulfilling a lifelong dream with Uncle BB!

KK & Jane with two of their favorite characters...

A perfect couple...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KK!

A trip highlight - meeting Minnie & Mickey!

We stayed in a Disney Resort called Saratoga Springs -
it has a fantastic pool with water slides and this water play area...
The kids just loved the water slides...

and these Surrey Bikes were a big hit, too!
It truly was a magical adventure...

And as always, thanks for stopping by!

april part I: arizona!

April was BUSY!
We kicked the month off with our annual trip to Arizona
(what seems like ages ago now)... and we had a blast!
Brook, Max, Jane & I spent one week catching up with family and friends and enjoying the amazing Spring weather in the Southwest.

Here are the kids anxiously awaiting our departure...
And contemplating a better life...
And then actually making a break for it!
HaHaHaHa...
Luckily we caught them just before our plane was boarding.

And once we made the long journey to the desert,
we had a fabulous reunion with the Odom & Zimmerman clans!
(Jane & Max with cousins Penelope & Laina)

(Penelope & Jane)

Next we caught up with our excellent friends the Ladners!
they were incredibly hospitable and shared lots of
fun toys with the kids...

(Jane with Harrison - busy at "work")

Max thought picking fresh grapefruit in the backyard was pretty amazing...

Then Papa Ric came up from Tucson to spend a day with us and take Brook and Max to the Diamondbacks Opening Day Game!

After a week of fun in the sun, poor Brook had to return to work...
Luckily, BB, KK and Grammie were available to take his place!
We went to the train park and swam in the pool...

BB & I hiked up Camelback Mountain...
and we caught up with Uncle Richard & Aunt Karen, too!
What an awesome and action-packed vacation!
(Luckily there was some of this going on, too...)

No trip to the Wild West is complete without a stop at Rawhide,
an "authentic" Western town...
Unfortunately, we had to do some time...
But when our good behavior sprung us from the joint, we had more fun!
Train rides, shoot outs...
And even this happened!

Finally, we had a chance to catch up with some of
Max's very first friends...
(Max with Conrad)
(Garrott, Conrad & Max)

and their wonderful moms...
(Sherry, me & Caren)

What a fun-filled and fantastic two weeks we had!
