bunnies bring out the best in my kids...

This Spring I heard about a photography studio that brings in "live bunnies" for Easter photo sessions. I didn't know what to expect on the photography side, but I knew Max & Jane would love to see and hold an adorable little bunny... so I signed up. The results are incredible! winter get-away...

Florida.

It was an interesting trip for us.

Quite simply, it was cold which is not the kind of delightful Spring escape we New Englanders are looking for when we head south in March. We made the best of it with a quick venue change early on and a few brave dips in the (thankfully) heated pool. Our second hotel was a Disney resort which was a fantastic antidote to our chilled moods, especially when Goofy & Donald joined us for breakfast.

Max's 3rd birthday party was a bombshell of blue success!

In addition to all of the blue-ness, we had a crazy magician who made real animals appear and disappear. The kids thought it was really cool. So did the adults (most of them anyway...). And then he made balloon animals for everyone. What could be better?!

february busy-ness...

Well February was quite a happening month around here. First, little Jane and I took a trip to visit Brook who was in Clearwater Beach for work. We expected long walks in the warm sunshine but instead we got chilly wind and a double ear-infection. Still, we made sure to have as much fun as we could. You'll believe me if you look through our February photos link. That Jane can really get silly in a small hotel room... We also had a lovely brunch with my Tampa aunt and uncle Mary & Gregg (but I forgot to take photos... boo).

Then on Valentine's Day, Brook & I took Max ice skating for the first time. It was a little more challenging than Max expected but he did a great job...

And of course, on February 15th, we celebrated Max's 3rd birthday with an exciting lunch at Bugaboo Creek...

(The real birthday excitement was yet to happen. Max had an official birthday party on February 28th that deserves a post all its own.

january... home sick...

Max has been home sick for about a week. Poor guy. Bad cold, high fever and even some vomiting. Yikes! Not fun for him (or for any of us actually). In fact, January hasn't been our best month - despite a few bright spots like Uncle Jamie's visit. Even though the kids have been sick sick sick and both Brook and I have found ourselves responsible for unnecessary household mishaps, we still took some cute pictures. 95 "good" ones to be exact (and not a single one is outside of the house!). We hope you enjoy them...
