summer recap: JULY!

We spent July like most good New Englanders, enjoying 

the summer weather and relaxing as much as possible.

Before the kids started camp, we took a quick trip to 

Martha's Vineyard to see our lovely friends, the MacArthurs.

This is the ferry that transported us to the island.

This is beautiful Jane (with straightened hair) on the ferry.

This is fantastic Lisa motoring the kids around on her paddle board.

This is Jane & Max all geared up for the World Cup game that day

(sadly the US lost...).

This is the MacArthur's awesome Island car.

These are my favorite 5 and 7 year olds.

And just like that we were heading home...

Perfect quick trip! Beautiful weather, amazing location, great friends!

For the rest of the month, we spent weekends and afternoons like this:

And had several out of town visitors 

including the Roddys of Oakland, CA 

(Eryn pictured here as Anna to Jane's Elsa and Kate's ... 

well, Kate's Moulin Rouge princess?)

Max & Jane spent their days at Tenacre Day Camp,

which they LOVED!

And our July highlight was a weekend in Maine
with our favorite friends, the Schaffers!

This is their new "chalet" and it is fantastic!

This was the weather we enjoyed.

Hanna is pictured here taking many kids on a scenic lake tour.

Back at the house, the kids made their boundaries pretty clear:

And spent hours doing mostly this...

celebrating this beautiful bride-to-be!
